1. Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy covers participants in a BuzzBanter voice survey session - a recruited product-review panel, not a public or open survey. By starting a session after being shown the on-screen consent prompts, you agree to the collection described below for the purposes described below.

2. What we collect

  • Voice audio - your spoken answers, both as a live transcript and, if you consent, as a recorded audio track.
  • Video - your camera feed during the session, only if you separately consent to this on the video_consent step. You are told this before it starts, not after.
  • Facial expression signals - if video recording is enabled, an on-device model infers a coarse emotion label (e.g. neutral/happy/sad/surprised) per question. This runs in your browser; no image or video frame is sent to a third party for this analysis.
  • Transcript & derived text - what you said, and a short AI-generated summary of your answer, used to keep the conversation adaptive.
  • Session metadata - timestamps, the sample/location name you provide, and which questionnaire you completed.

3. Why we collect it

Solely for product/service research: understanding respondent feedback in more depth than text alone allows, and letting our research team review a specific answer's recording rather than relying on a summary. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

4. Consent is separate for each type of recording

Voice/video/emotion recording is never silent or implied. If video recording is enabled for this survey, you are shown a spoken and on-screen prompt naming exactly what will be recorded before your camera or microphone is used for recording purposes, and you may decline - declining ends the session rather than silently downgrading it, since recording is central to this kind of research.

5. Retention

6. Who sees it

Recordings and transcripts are accessible to the research team conducting this study and the organization that commissioned it. We do not share individually-identifiable recordings with third parties outside that research relationship, except where required by law.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to delete your recording and transcript at any time by contacting the research team that recruited you for this panel. If you are located in a jurisdiction with a statutory right of access/erasure (e.g. under the UAE PDPL or, where applicable, the GDPR), that right applies here too.
